What does Empowering Women mean to you? Empowering women means we can change generations with our own children at home. At Nutritious & Delicious we believe a healthy family starts with a healthy parent. When we empower women in the home first, we are actually creating strong-minded leaders who are teaching this to their own families through osmosis.
How did you get started working in your field? My story started with me in my 20s working as a nurse in the diet industry and now owning my own business in my 30s from home called Nutritious & Delicious as a Holistic Nutritional Consultant. I went from a stay-at-home mom to a widow with two kids at 31 and had to become the breadwinner overnight in 2018. My mission and passion are to help other parents worldwide, whether they are struggling with their own health or mindset.
What do you love most about your job? What are you most proud of? I love that I can talk to women worldwide and help as many moms level up their mindset and nutrition all from a laptop. I am most proud of all the personal work I have done to be a leader in my own family and help show my two boys how to go after goals in business and in life.
What advice would you give to someone considering this line of work? Don't do it alone, it's easy to sit and listen to your own head tapes and give up. You need someone in your corner to help pick you up and dust you off daily. I would suggest getting into a mentorship program, hiring a business or life coach, getting a friend or partner as a business buddy to share your weekly vision with and partnering with some amazing, optimistic entrepreneurs that also want to cheer you on.
Anything else you would like to add? I have been through a ton of adversity in my own personal life, I have a very positive outlook on what the future holds and love to inspire other women and men to grow their mindset too, whether that's in business or personal life.
